The list is in action: Putin supported the initiatives of the top five of United Russia

On September 5, Vladimir Putin met with the leaders of the United Russia federal list on the eve of the State Duma elections. The Head of State agreed to work out a reduction in the family mortgage rate for the purchase and construction of private homes, additional car benefits for families with many children, and the creation of a unified system for exchanging data on drones. In addition, they discussed the protection of children from cyber threats, medical examinations of the participants of the SVO and the protracted reconstruction of the embankment in Arkhangelsk. Experts regard the meeting as a sign of the president's personal trust and a serious political resource for the party on the eve of the vote.

On the eve of the key domestic political event of the year — the elections to the State Duma of the IX convocation, which will be held from September 18 to 20, Vladimir Putin held a working meeting with the first "five" of the federal list of the United Russia party. The leading block of candidates included people who have proven their effectiveness in various fields: Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, military commander of VGTRK Hero of Russia Evgeny Poddubny, Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova and Chief of the General Staff of the Unarmia Hero of Russia Vladislav Golovin.

The Head of State thanked the leaders of the list for taking responsibility to lead the election campaign. The President stressed that the main task is to ensure the internal political stability of the state and the development of the country in accordance with the Constitution, despite any external challenges. According to Vladimir Putin, the members of the "five" set a high standard of responsible work for the entire party by their personal example.

— It's not even about who will do what after the elections. The fact is that you are well-known people in the country who have proven that you are able to effectively and responsibly approach the business you are engaged in. You give an example of how the whole of United Russia should work after the elections. One way or another, you will certainly influence the ongoing legislative processes," Vladimir Putin addressed them.

The main point of Vladimir Putin's meeting with the top five is the most powerful direct support for United Russia, said political analyst Dmitry Yelovsky. The president is actually investing his enormous rating and impeccable reputation capital in the party, transforming the personal trust of citizens into support for the candidate list. From the point of view of political technologies, this step is flawless: in conditions of severe external pressure, maintaining the stability of the political system is the number one task, so such a step looks absolutely logical and timely. At the same time, the head of state deliberately emphasizes that it does not matter whether they go to work in the State Duma after the September elections. The main thing is that they will contribute to the development of parliamentarism in any case.

Representatives of the top five reported to the President on the results of their trips to the regions and formed a number of practical proposals based on feedback from citizens. The Commissioner for Children's Rights, Maria Lvova-Belova, focused on a set of measures to support motherhood and childhood. She came up with a proposal to "make the interest rate on a family mortgage for the purchase and construction of residential buildings a little lower compared to apartments. Vladimir Putin agreed with her and promised to give appropriate instructions to the government.

In addition, the Children's Ombudsman raised another vital issue: large families cannot do without spacious and powerful cars, which are significantly more expensive than usual. Maria Lvova-Belova suggested providing additional benefits for them.

— Will find support in the Ministry of Industry 100%. After all, this is not only helping families, but also an incentive for our automotive industry," Vladimir Putin supported the initiative.

The president also reacted positively to the topic of digital hygiene: the Ombudsman told how parents in the regions are asking to protect children from cyber threats. The Head of State agreed that online security should be taken as seriously as possible, and promised to support all necessary solutions.

Military-patriotic front, protection of the sky and attention to the regions

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov emphasized the external contour: the diplomatic corps today literally protects the interests of compatriots in non-stop mode and provides international support for its tasks. But the main words of the minister concerned the return of fighters to a peaceful life.: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation, has already launched a retraining program for veterans at MGIMO. Lavrov emphasized that working with young people across the country, he sees how deeply and maturely they understand what Russia stands for today. In this context, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin spoke about the support that the capital has provided to the whole country. Moscow has assumed the role of the largest rehabilitation center for wounded soldiers, and also continues to invest forces, money and personnel in the restoration of twin cities — Donetsk, Lugansk and Sevastopol.

A special emotional block of the meeting was a conversation about advanced defense technologies and the education of a new generation — here the tone was set by the Heroes of Russia Evgeny Poddubny and Vladislav Golovin. The military commander shared the best practices of the Kursk region, where they created an air defense situation center for instant response to air threats. He proposed linking the entire country with a single, "seamless" system for exchanging data on enemy drones.

— We need more than just a coordinating body — we need a commander, unity of command. But the idea itself is absolutely correct! Everything is developing rapidly, I will definitely give instructions to the General Staff and the Ministry of Defense," Vladimir Putin immediately responded.

In addition, Poddubny stood up for the wounded fighters with category "D" who are eager to fight: the president immediately approved the idea of allowing them to protect their hometowns from drones as part of the BARS units.

Vladislav Golovin, Chief of the General Staff of Unarmia, spoke about his experience of meetings he held with people on the ground — not only with veterans of his military, but also with volunteers, as well as school teachers. He honestly outlined two pressing problems to the head of state: bureaucratic "backlogs" with medical examinations for soldiers on vacation and the decade-long reconstruction of the Sedov Embankment in Arkhangelsk. Vladimir Putin promised to personally talk with the heads of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Health to restore order with medical examinations, and also assured that the federal center would definitely help the Arkhangelsk region complete the long-term construction on the embankment as soon as possible.
