Last-minute tours to Turkey for the fall have practically disappeared from the market due to high demand. Tour operators close most of the places in hotels and on charter flights in advance for September, so by the beginning of autumn there are few available offers at discounted prices. This was announced on August 17 by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).

"There are no burning tours to Turkey for the fall and there will not be," the message says.

According to the association, this year tour operators are successfully filling guaranteed blocks of seats in Turkish hotels and purchased seats on charter flights. As a result, ATOR notes, a significant part of the proposals simply do not have to "burn."

A comparison of the cost of ten-day tours for two adults with departure from Moscow in mid-September showed that in August prices were about 20% higher than when buying similar tours in April and May. In some popular hotels, the cost has increased by 40% or more.

With an early booking in mid-April, tourists could save from 13 to 32 thousand rubles when staying in budget hotels. For four- to five-star properties, the difference could reach 115-490 thousand rubles, and in the luxury segment — 57-100 thousand rubles.

ATOR attributes the price increase to an increase in demand and a change in the euro exchange rate. Since mid-July, the European currency has risen in price against the ruble by 10.7%. At the same time, the cost of some tours increased more, which the association explains by the high occupancy rate of hotels.

Demand for the Turkish destination also continues to grow. According to ATOR, in July, the tourist flow of Russians to Antalya increased by 7% compared to the same period last year. Tour operators also note the positive dynamics of bookings for August and September.

On August 11, the head of ATOR predicted the decline of tourism in Serbia in the event of the introduction of visas for Russians. It was noted that the Russian tourist flow to Serbia in recent years has remained at the level of about 170 thousand trips annually (including all purposes), and the tourist flow is about 90 thousand per year. The cancellation of visa-free entry will be a bad signal for Russians, as there will be almost no visa-free countries in Europe.
