The new analogue of the state automated system (GAS) "Vybory" has been fully launched in the country. This was announced on September 12 by the Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Russian Federation, Ella Pamfilova.

"The analogue of our honored old lady GAS-the elections have been fully launched, it is working, it also works independently from the Internet," Pamfilova said at the CEC information center.

Pamfilova also noted that information about voting will be updated as data is entered into the system. The digital platform, according to her, functions on domestic software and materials, she stressed.

In some regions of Russia, elections of governors, heads of regional parliaments and other officials began on this day, which will end with a single voting day on September 14. In total, more than 5,000 election campaigns will be conducted in 81 regions of the country. About 55 million people will be able to participate in the elections. In addition, 24 regions will host remote electronic voting, which, according to preliminary data, will cover about 20 million voters.
