Dodik announced BiH's refusal to join NATO

Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) will not join NATO and other military alliances. This was announced on November 1 by Milorad Dodik, chairman of the Union of Independent Social Democrats party.

"The issue of BiH's membership in NATO has long been settled. Cooperation is yes, membership is no," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

He stressed that the country would not join any military alliance.

Dodik said on July 10 that joining NATO was unacceptable for the Republika Srpska of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He noted that the European path is questionable for the region, and they intend to continue to adhere to this policy.
