AI will be connected to checking notebooks in Yamal schools
In the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, school teachers will be given the opportunity to connect artificial intelligence to checking notebooks. This is necessary to relieve the burden, according to the regional Department of education.
First of all, the innovation will arouse the interest of teachers of literature, said the head of the department Zoya Chernysheva. The piloting period of such a module for checking written papers takes place not only in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, but also in other regions.
She noted that the innovation should not become an additional burden for the teacher due to the fact that notebooks will either have to be photographed or scanned. It will be the choice of the teacher himself: to check manually or to connect the AI.
However, Chernysheva noted, the time for loading the work is incomparably less than for checking in manual mode. The responsible teacher checks the result that the AI has given, but it's still easier than checking the work manually.
The department noted that the authors of the initiative were the teachers themselves. It is not necessary to use the service, writes the news agency " <url>".
Earlier it was reported that the Central University has developed a systematic educational program on artificial intelligence for schools, which includes advanced training for computer science teachers and an AI course for students in grades 8-11. As explained in TSU, the university has accumulated expertise over the years of the development of the Olympiad movement in the country and the preparation of teams for prestigious global IT competitions. Under his leadership, the Russian national team became the champion of the International AI Olympiad for the third time in 2026, beating 105 teams from the USA, China, Japan and other countries.
