Iran reported attacks on four ships in the Persian Gulf
Four oil vessels were blown up by mines in the Strait of Hormuz. This was reported on October 22 by the Islamic Republic News Agency with reference to the press service of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
"Four ships carrying oil cargoes were simultaneously hit by mines and burned down," the Telegram channel said.
According to the IRGC, these vessels passed through illegal routes in the western part of the Strait of Hormuz.
On October 17, a large oil tanker hit a mine while traveling through the Strait of Hormuz, after which a strong fire started on board. It was indicated that the tanker was following a route that was not agreed with Tehran. There were more than 2 million barrels of oil on board the ship.
