Trump proposed renaming the state of New Mexico to New America
On October 19, the head of the White House, Donald Trump, took the initiative to change the name of the state of New Mexico to New America.
"New Mexico should immediately change its name to New America," he wrote on Truth Social.
Trump suggested that the new name would enhance the value and prestige of the state. In his opinion, this could lead to an increase in the cost of housing and incomes of residents, as well as increase their sense of pride.
The American leader also linked his proposal to the elections in the state, saying that after the renaming, there might have been fair and "dishonest elections," which, according to him, New Mexico is known for.
During a speech in Tennessee on October 11, Trump announced that his administration was considering renaming the Strait of Hormuz in his honor. The head of the White House also stated Washington's ability to end the ongoing military conflict with Iran in a short time. On September 25, Trump published a map on which the Strait of Hormuz bears his name.
