In Germany, thousands of railway stations have issued false evacuation alarms.
A false alarm has been issued at railway stations in three German federal states demanding the evacuation of passengers. The reason was an error in managing the Deutsche Bahn notification system. This was reported on October 16 by the Suddeutsche Zeitung (SZ).
"Travelers should leave the train station. There were such announcements at railway stations in Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. As it turned out, it was a false alarm," the publication says.
After the incident, an alarm cancellation message was transmitted over the speakerphone. Deutsche Bahn apologized for the incident, calling it an "unfortunate mistake." At the same time, representatives of the company and the police explained the reasons for the incident in different ways. The police reported that an employee had pressed the button incorrectly, while a representative of the railway operator reported a technical malfunction.
On October 14, an emergency situation was declared at Nuremberg Airport in Germany after the pilot of the plane accidentally transmitted the transponder code signaling the hijacking of the aircraft. In addition, the aircraft stopped communicating by radio for a while. Due to the unclear situation, planes were alerted in several European countries.
