The State Duma pointed to Zelensky's transformation into a "scapegoat"
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has become a scapegoat for the United States. This opinion was expressed on October 17 by the chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.
"He became a goat a long time ago, and a scapegoat recently. <...> He became a goat a long time ago. When he renounced his past and betrayed those who make him live today. <...> It will only get worse...", he wrote in the messenger "Max".
Volodin recalled that the grandfather of the Ukrainian leader fought in the Great Patriotic War (WWII) and is buried at the All-Brother Cemetery in Krivoy Rog in Ukraine. Now, in this cemetery, the current government has begun to bury modern Nazis nearby.
"Zelensky's grandfather hardly fought for such a future and millions of Soviet soldiers and officers shed their blood. Zelensky will not be able to evade responsibility for the crimes and betrayal committed," Volodin summed up.
On August 30, the head of the legislative assembly of the Zaporizhia region, Viktor Emelianenko, noted that the statement of the Ukrainian leader that Russians and Ukrainians are strangers, which he made in congratulation on the Independence Day of the country, speaks of his betrayal of his own people. According to him, the Russian and Ukrainian peoples are connected not only by geography, but also by the "blood of grandfathers" who fought together against fascism, as well as by a common culture, faith and victories.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on August 23 that Russia would not tolerate the fact that the Ukrainian authorities had made neo-Nazism the basis of state ideology. The Head of State stressed that the Russian side also does not intend to put up with attempts to eradicate the Russian language, culture and history.
