The situation on the Russian fuel market has been improving over the past two weeks. This was announced on October 16 by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.

According to him, the situation in the domestic gasoline market remains difficult, but it is gradually stabilizing. This is facilitated by several factors: adjusting the timing of repair work at enterprises, increasing production capacity by companies, as well as fuel supplies through imported channels.

"We are actively working to move the repairs of oil refineries to the right. Our companies are also maximizing production capacity and ensuring that the deficit is covered by importing gasoline from other countries. This work is carried out on a daily basis," Novak said in an interview with the Vesti news agency.

On the same day, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation told reporters on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week that the Russian Federation continues to strengthen air defense and passive protection systems for oil refineries. According to Novak, the work is being carried out in two directions. The first involves strengthening the active protection of facilities with the help of air defense systems. The Ministry of Defense cooperates with oil companies, which, among other things, participate in financing the purchase of necessary equipment. The second area is related to the passive protection of enterprises.
