A driver who got out of a car onto the road was killed in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District

In the Purovsky district of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District), a driver who got out of his car onto the road was killed as a result of a car collision. This is reported by the district State Traffic Inspectorate and the prosecutor's office.

The accident occurred the night before, on October 15, on the 3rd km of the Severo-Gubkinskoye field highway. The UAZ driver stopped the car in the lane without turning on the emergency light and went out onto the road without reflective elements on his clothes.

The man was hit by another UAZ car, the driver of which did not notice the pedestrian on the road. The motorist died from his injuries at the scene, writes the news agency " <url>".

Police officers are conducting an inspection, which will result in a decision to initiate criminal proceedings. The prosecutor's office has also begun its investigation. The circumstances of the incident are being established.

According to the State Traffic Inspectorate, since the beginning of 2026, 2,663 accidents have occurred on the roads of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, resulting in 18 deaths and 243 injuries.
