Lukashenko called the beard a sign of the People's militia of Belarus
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, during a visit to a training session of the people's militia in the Verkhnedvinsky district, noted that a beard in appearance gives out a real people's militia member. On October 16, video footage from a business trip to the Vitebsk region was published by the Telegram channel Pool One, which is close to the head of state.
"Well, this is the people's militia, with a beard, as it should be. They're not shaved, but that's good. That's the way it should be. So that everyone can see that this is a people's militia," the Belarusian leader noted.
Passing by the formation with the militia, the commander told Lukashenko that among the employees were huntsmen, hunters, cooks, doctors, and drone control specialists. Currently, the unit consists of 26 people.
"Well done for not shaving. A beard is good. This is very important," the President of Belarus added, commenting on the appearance of the military.
Also on October 13, Lukashenko said that Belarus was not going to attack anyone, but was preparing for war in order to avoid it. He stressed that Western countries spread false information about the impending attack of the Russian Federation and Belarus on the Baltic states from the territory of the republic.
