Rabies vaccination campaign to be held in Sevastopol

In Sevastopol, for two days, on October 16 and 17, owners of cats and dogs will be able to vaccinate them against rabies for free. Field vaccination will take place in the Kalfa microdistrict.

According to IA SevastopolMedia with reference to the regional state veterinary service, field teams will work at bus stops, near houses, at the intersection of streets, on the territory of garden associations.

Specialists use a certified rabies vaccine. Only clinically healthy animals can be vaccinated. After the procedure, the pet's owner will receive a certificate.

Earlier it was reported that a criminal case was opened in Moscow after an inspection of the manufacturer of the veterinary vaccine Multican-8. The reason was the use of a deliberately forged quality certificate for one of the drug series. The trial was preceded by the mass death of dogs after vaccination in the summer of 2026. Later, the Rosselkhoznadzor found a live Auyeski disease virus in the samples of the problematic series No. 20 and confirmed the link between the use of the drug and deaths.
