The main character here is a dead Viking, who is transported by Valkyrie to a world where he will have to earn the right to fight on Odin's side. To do this, you will have to settle down in harsh lands, hunt monsters and fight powerful bosses.
Unlike many other representatives of the genre, Valheim does not constantly make you fear attacks from other players. Here you can safely engage in construction, explore the surroundings and gradually prepare for new challenges. The world is generated procedurally, so each walkthrough offers a unique map geography, resource location, and travel routes. At the same time, character development is closely related to research: by finding unknown materials, the hero discovers additional drawings of weapons, equipment, and useful items.
Construction takes up a significant part of the gameplay. Over time, you can move from a modest wooden hut to a fortified settlement with workshops, warehouses and spacious halls. In addition to building buildings and making equipment, players can farm, tame animals, travel by sea and fight against a variety of opponents. You can go through Valheim alone, but it's especially interesting to go on expeditions with friends. The cooperative supports up to 10 participants, and PvP battles are an exclusively voluntary activity.

The once thriving lands of Amber Vale are at the mercy of a mysterious contagion that has turned the local inhabitants into monsters. The main character, one of the Flame-Born, is able to withstand the destructive darkness. He will explore the ruins of an ancient civilization, fight monsters and gradually bring life back to the devastated regions.
According to the game mechanics, Ensrouded resembles a mix of Valheim and The Legend of Zelda. Here you can freely travel through a large open world, explore dungeons, solve puzzles in ancient towers and soar over picturesque landscapes using a glider. The combat system offers several character development directions: you can become a melee warrior, an archer, or a mage by combining abilities from different skill branches. Dangerous areas shrouded in fog are forced to monitor the time spent in them and carefully prepare for sorties.
Construction deserves special attention. Thanks to the voxel system, players can change the terrain, build underground tunnels and erect structures of almost any shape — from small dugouts to huge fortresses. Saved NPCs can be placed in your own settlement, which gives you access to new craft stations, recipes, and equipment. Agriculture and crafting complement the sandbox's capabilities. You can play alone or in a cooperative with up to 16 people. The game has been in early access for a long time, but it will be fully released this October.

Shortly after its early Access release in January 2024, the Japanese studio's Pocketpair project turned into one of Steam's biggest hits, attracting more than 2 million online players. The idea transformed the main mechanics of Pokemon games: collecting adorable creatures. However, the Palworld developers suggested arming pets to the teeth and using them not only in battles, but also as a labor force.
Local monsters are called palami. They can be caught, bred, trained, and sent on a variety of errands. Some help to extract resources, others grow crops, produce electricity or work in factories. In general, Palworld is a sandbox familiar to many with crafting, building and exploring the big world. The hero needs to keep an eye on food supplies, collect materials, create weapons and gradually develop his own base. Both single player and cooperative playthroughs are supported, as well as the game on multiplayer servers.
Palworld has grown significantly since early access. The Sakurajima update added another island and additional creatures, Feybreak expanded the map and brought new challenges, and the Tides of Terraria crossover introduced players to monsters and other elements of the Terraria game. The full—fledged version of Palworld was released this July - the developers have prepared the largest update in the history of the project, adding 72 new palas, the flying island of Sunreach, story tasks related to the World Tree, and additional ways to develop creatures.

An action RPG with elements of survival, in which players can play as a vampire who has awakened after centuries of sleep. Once the bloodsuckers reigned supreme over the world, but now their power is in the past, and the lands of Vardoran have been invaded by humans and all kinds of monsters. To regain his former power, the main character will have to rebuild a ruined castle, assemble an army of minions and deal with numerous opponents.
V Rising allows you to choose the format of the passage yourself. You can explore the world alone, team up with friends on a private server, or join multiplayer worlds with PvE and PvP battles. Therefore, the game is suitable for fans of measured construction and exploration, as well as those who prefer to constantly fight with other players.
After the full release in May 2024, Stunlock Studios continued to expand the game. A major free update released in 2025 added the Oakvale Forest region, another enemy group, three bosses, and additional weapons. There are also seven new spells, the ability to arrange duels and battle arenas in your own castle, and a redesigned blood system. Thanks to these changes, players have more ways to experiment with combat combinations and develop their vampire.

A very fresh large-scale survival simulator in an open world inspired by the cultures of ancient civilizations of South America. The story begins with the protagonist's escape from a sacrificial ritual. Once in the middle of the wilderness, he finds a mysterious mask that grants the wearer supernatural powers. It is this artifact that becomes the basis for further gameplay: with its help, you can not only upgrade your character, but also transfer consciousness into the bodies of other people, gradually assembling your own tribe.
The main feature of Soulmask is that the player is not tied to a single hero. Any recruited tribesman can become a new controllable character, and each has its own characteristics, talents, and specialization. Some are better at crafting items and mining resources, while others have outstanding combat skills. The masks themselves also vary in abilities: they can be found while exploring the world and improved.
A considerable part of the time will have to be devoted to the settlement arrangement. Players can build buildings, farm, hunt, tame animals and produce a variety of equipment. Tribesmen can be assigned daily tasks, gradually automating the work of an entire village.
