Zenit FC beat Dynamo Makhachkala in the Russian Cup
Zenit St. Petersburg Football Club (FC) beat Dynamo Makhachkala 2-1 on October 14 in the match of the fourth round of the group stage of the Russian Premier League (RPL) Cup of Russia.
The Group C meeting was held in Kaspiysk. Kevin Andrade scored for the visitors in the 37th minute and Amir Musaev in the 65th. For Musaev, this goal was the first for the Zenit main team. Hamid Agalarov scored a penalty for the hosts in the fifth minute.
After the victory, the St. Petersburg team scored 11 points and consolidated its leadership in the group. Baltika and Krylia Sovetov take second and third places respectively with six points. Dynamo remains fourth with one point.
In the next round, on October 29, the Makhachkala team will play away with Krylia Sovetov, and Zenit will meet away with Baltika.
