The dates of the Eastern Economic Forum in 2027 have been determined

The XII Eastern Economic Forum will be held from August 31 to September 3, 2027 in Vladivostok. This was announced by Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the WEF Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov.

"During the Forum, it has become a key mechanism for attracting investments, strengthening international cooperation and developing solutions aimed at the socio-economic development of the Far East. Today, the macroregion plays an increasingly important role in strengthening Russia's economic ties with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region. I am confident that the WEF-2027 will allow us to identify new areas of partnership, present promising projects, give an additional impetus to the development of the Far East and improve the quality of life of people," he said.

A special place in the Forum program will be occupied by the discussion of the implementation of the Strategy for the Socio-economic Development of the Far Eastern Federal District until 2030 with a forecast until 2036, approved following the results of the XI Eastern Economic Forum.

"The Eastern Economic Forum is an international event. Representatives of federal and regional authorities meet with businesses here, leading experts, economists and sociologists from our country and abroad discuss pressing issues, partnerships are being strengthened, large-scale investment agreements are being signed and the largest production facilities in the Far East are being launched. The WEF has become one of the main tools for the development of the Far Eastern and northern regions. Preferential regimes, programs for the introduction and continuation of preferential mortgages, renovation of Far Eastern and Arctic cities, provision of a gratuitous plot of land under the "Hectare" program were discussed and adopted here — all that has helped and continues to help the accelerated socio-economic development of the Far East, and hence our entire country," said the Deputy Chairman. The WEF has been held since 2015 in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The forum is taking place in Vladivostok on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University. The organizer is the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation.
