- The government has reserved 2 trillion rubles for breakthrough developments in the Russian Federation
The draft federal budget of Russia for the next three years provides for about 2 trillion rubles for the creation and implementation of advanced domestic technologies. This was announced on October 12 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at the government's strategic session on national projects.
"The three—year federal budget, which is being prepared for the first reading in the State Duma, provides for a total of about 2 trillion rubles for such purposes," he said.
It is noted that technological leadership is among the key national goals. To achieve this goal, nine large-scale national projects are being implemented, each of which is provided with the necessary funding. Mishustin added that the task is not only to achieve independence in sectors critical to the economy, but also to create conditions for the formation of new markets.
Mishustin clarified that financing for the development and implementation of Russian technologies is also planned to be carried out at the expense of regional budgets. In addition, the Russian government expects significant participation of private business in the implementation of technology projects. According to the Prime Minister, the companies' investments should make a significant contribution to the development of domestic developments.
Earlier in the day, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov indicated that Russia's budget was formed taking into account possible scenarios for the development of the situation on world markets and in the global economy.
In September, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation noted that Russia's budget policy in the period 2027-2029 will be aimed at fulfilling social obligations and ensuring long-term economic growth. It is also aimed at ensuring the needs of the country's defense and security, social support for the participants of the special operation, their families, and providing technological leadership.
