Two new water intakes to be built in Chita

Two new water intakes are planned to be built in Chita, and design estimates are already being developed. This was announced on Thursday, October 8, by the head of the city Inna Shcheglova at a session of the construction and industrial forum.

According to her, one of the key tasks of the authorities is to provide water for new residential complexes, social facilities and territories where residents are being resettled from dilapidated housing. Without reliable water supply, further development of the regional capital is impossible, the mayor emphasized.

The project is being implemented as part of a master plan that provides for the provision of drinking water to the city in conditions of active housing and infrastructure construction. The new facilities will cover the needs of the citizens, even taking into account all current and future construction sites.

According to ChitaMedia news agency, reconstruction of sewage treatment plants and construction of additional water supply and sanitation facilities are also planned.

Earlier it was reported that almost 10 thousand square meters of emergency housing were resettled in Chita as part of the integrated territorial development project. Hundreds of families have received new apartments.
