MTS has created a prefabricated multifunctional support with an autonomous power supply, the company's press service reported. The support is capable of providing mobile communications to remote and sparsely populated areas where there is no possibility of connecting to the power grid.

"After the testing is completed, we will offer the MFO-15 to customers as an effective communication solution. For example, such supports may be particularly in demand when implementing a state program to provide connectivity for federal highways in remote and sparsely populated areas. Their use can solve the long-standing problem of building telecom infrastructure in places where there are no power lines. Replication of this solution will provide uninterrupted communication to transport workers and passengers on roads and railways, construction workers, mining workers, residents of shift camps in the regions of the Far East, Siberia and the Far North," said Alexey Maslyankin, Director of the MTS Network Development Directorate.

The 15-meter-high MFO-15 support, equipped with a climate cabinet with lithium batteries and a diesel generator, is designed to work along highways and railways, in mining and natural resources, construction and fishing operations, near temporary shift settlements, as well as for the organization of dedicated Private LTE/5G technology networks in industry.. It can be fully assembled in three hours with the participation of three people and a crane manipulator. A diesel generator at one fuel station ensures the operation of the base station for 12 days without external power supply.

It is possible to produce the MFO-15 in various versions, including without lithium batteries and a diesel generator, MTS reported. Depending on the wind load, the height of the support can be increased up to 24 meters.
