The Scandinavian Health Center, with the support of the Moscow Innovation Cluster (MIC), will begin pilot testing of the Evipatch portable cardio recorder from the Moscow company Evimed. This was reported by the press service of the MIC.

"It is especially important for medical technologies to go from development to real-world application. The pilot testing at the clinic allows us to test the device in operation, evaluate the convenience for patients and doctors, and understand how it can be integrated into existing processes," said Maxim Vlasov, Deputy General Director of MIC. According to him, pilot testing gives developers the opportunity to test the technology with a potential customer and proceed to implementation.

The Evipatch is attached to the chest with a waterproof patch and continuously records an electrocardiogram for up to ten days. The device works wirelessly and does not interfere with daily activities. The recordings are analyzed by algorithms that help detect cardiac arrhythmias, including episodes of atrial fibrillation.

Experts will appreciate the convenience of the device for patients and doctors, as well as the possibilities of using the data obtained in medical practice. With successful results, the prospects for further application of the development will be considered.

MIC, the Scandinavian Health Center and Evimed agreed on joint testing at the Moscow Startup Summit. In total, more than 300 federal, regional and commercial sites are available to developers for pilot testing. The company can receive a grant from the MIC for up to 4 million rubles to conduct the tests.
