The Fuyuan –Khabarovsk checkpoint will not be closed on the mid-autumn holiday and on the weekend in honor of the Founding Day of the People's Republic of China. This is due to the active tourist flow.

The Fuyuan Border Control Department clarified that in China, the days from September 25 to September 27 will be an official weekend on the occasion of the mid-autumn holiday. The days from October 1 to October 7 on the occasion of the country's Founding Day have also been declared days off.

It is expected that in the period from September 25 to 27, about 1.2 thousand people will pass through this crossing in both directions, and in the period from October 1 to October 7— about 4.2 thousand people.

Peak passenger traffic at the Fuyuan river checkpoint is expected on September 25 and 27, as well as on October 1 and 7.

The distance between Fuyuan and Khabarovsk along the Amur River is 65 km, AmurMedia news agency notes.

Earlier it was reported that China extended the visa-free regime for Russian tourists until the end of 2027. They can stay in the country for up to 30 days.
